Senior Technical Product Owner

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr.Technical Product Owner to join our team. As a key member bridging business and technology, you will be responsible for translating product strategy into technical requirements and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions. You will work closely with 3rd party vendors, Product Managers, Engineers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure product features meet customer and business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of fuels logistics, trading, distribution, and related business processes, combined with technical acumen in software development, cloud engineering, APIs, and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
+ Define the product roadmap and strategy for fuels supply chain systems, balancing business needs, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.
+ Identify opportunities to optimize operational processes, automate workflows, and improve decision-making through technology.
+ Align product initiatives with organizational goals and KPIs.
Technical Product Management
+ Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating business requirements into detailed user stories, epics, and technical specifications.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of software features, platform upgrades, and system integrations.
+ Partner with architects and technical leads to design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
+ Ensure adherence to best practices in software development lifecycle, DevOps, and testing.
+ Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups as part of the Agile/Scrum process.
+ Identify and manage risks and dependencies across multiple teams and systems
System Integrations & Data Analytics
+ Oversee integration of multiple systems including ERP, trading platforms, inventory management, and logistics solutions.
+ Utilize business analytics and data-driven insights to inform product decisions and optimize fuels operations.
+ Monitor system performance, identify gaps, and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.
Stakeholder Collaboration
+ Engage with business users, traders, operations, 3rd party vendors, and IT teams to capture requirements and validate solutions.
+ Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Lead cross-functional agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews) and ensure alignment across teams.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
+ 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years as a Technical or Senior Product Owner.
+ Strong understanding of fuels supply chain operations including trading, logistics, and distribution.
+ Proven experience with system integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise software solutions.
+ Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and backlog management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
+ Ability to analyze complex business data and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred
+ Certifications such as CSPO, SAFe PO/PM or similar Agile certification
+ Experience with energy trading & risk management (ETRM) platforms like Right Angle.
+ Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in fuels trading and distribution.
+ Experience with cloud-based platforms, microservices, and modern analytics tools.
