A Day in the Life

As a strategic finance leader, you'll collaborate across global teams to reimagine payroll processes. Your day will blend analytical problem-solving, cross-functional communication, and transformative process design. You'll identify automation opportunities, develop standardized reporting frameworks, and implement financial solutions that simplify complex payroll challenges.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Establish and Drive Strategic Goals: Create comprehensive global strategic objectives for the FOAA Payroll function

• Lead Automation Initiatives: Optimize operational efficiency and achieve targeted financial savings

• Design Process Improvements: Enhance controllership and financial accuracy through innovative business process redesigns

• Develop Reporting Standards: Create and implement standardized global reporting formats with robust service level agreements

• Build High-Performance Teams: Cultivate talent through strategic development and recruitment strategies

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience

- 8+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

- 7+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience

- 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

- 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience

- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience

- MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
