Position Overview:

The Shelf Life and Sample Coordinator at F&S Fresh Foods ensures the accurate tracking, testing, and documentation shelf life for F&S Fresh Foods innovation products shelf-life and manages all innovation sample shipments out of the Riverside facility . This critical role supports quality assurance and product development and quality assurance efforts by coordinating testing schedules, maintaining organized sample inventories, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

+ Coordinate and manage product shelf-life testing, including scheduling, sample preparation, testing, and data analysis.

+ Maintain accurate records of all shelf-life test results and communicate findings to Quality Assurance and Product Development teams.

+ Oversee the organization and maintenance of product samples, including labeling, storage conditions, inventory tracking, and disposal of expired samples.

+ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, R&D, and Quality Assurance, to support product improvements and quality initiatives.

+ Ensure all testing and sample management comply with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

+ Generate regular reports summarizing shelf-life studies, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements to product stability and freshness.

+ Assist with audits and inspections by providing accurate, up-to-date records of shelf-life testing and sample management practices.

+ Continuously improve processes related to shelf-life and sample management to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field preferred.

+ Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in food quality assurance, shelf-life testing, or sample coordination.

+ Familiarity with food safety standards and quality control methodologies.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with inventory management software preferred.

+ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively across departments.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to lift and carry samples and materials up to 30 lbs.

+ Comfortable working in various environments, including refrigerated and temperature-controlled storage areas.
