Description

We are looking for an experienced AR Specialist/Cash Coordinator to join our team in Watsonville, California.

Process, record, and post daily cash receipts with accuracy to support timely and reliable financial reporting

Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to reconcile payments and resolve cash receipt discrepancies

Communicate directly with customers to resolve remittance issues and follow up on overdue balances

Coordinate with the sales team to document and process credits for returns or other AR adjustments

Ensure remittance information is accurately recorded and routed for efficient deduction processing

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer account activity to promptly resolve outstanding items

Prepare and reconcile customer account statements; ensure alignment between the AR sub-ledger and general ledger

Generate and distribute ad hoc accounts receivable and cash application reports as needed

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and potential bad debt issues

Support internal and external audits by compiling and providing required documentation and financial data

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in cash applications, collections, and billing functions.

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and commercial collections.

• Ability to analyze credit inquiries and maintain accurate credit history files.

• Experience in reconciling accounts and generating financial reports.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with auditing processes and financial documentation.
