    Job Description

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    Material Handlers perform necessary handling of materials at both the beginning and end of the production process.

    SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

    12 hr nights (6p-6a) on a 4-3 schedule

    COMPENSATION:

    $19.24 + $1.50 Shift premium!

    BENEFITS:

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO AS A MATERIAL HANDLER:

    + Receive materials and unload using forklift equipment, following the 1st In/1st Out system and move to proper locations

    + Verify accuracy of paperwork vs. received material and enter and allocate into the MRP system (SAP)

    + Verify acceptance of material by QA via certification and document appropriately

    + Provide documentation of material delivery to appropriate departments

    + Move to stock machines (substrates) and return rolls and materials to storage

    + Move finished goods to labelling area and complete labelling

    + Place materials into appropriate racks and document locations on slitter tickets

    + Maintain location system

    + Complete staging and shipping tasks including pulling orders, move to staging area, checking orders and loading trucks

    + Assist if needed in inventory of raw materials monthly (this may involve working odd hours) and involvement in recounts

    + Follow all safety policies and practices

    + Conduct cycle counts and other miscellaneous tasks as required

    WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

    + 2+ years of experience operating a forklift (preferably stand-up lift) preferred

    + Basic knowledge of truck capacities, warehouse flow and production process environment (FIFO) location system knowledge preferred

    + Basic mechanical ability

    + Solid communication and teamwork skills

    + Willing and able to work a flexible schedule of up to 12-hour shifts
