About the Role
Dow Jones & Company, Inc. is soliciting applications for its Media Law and First Amendment Internship. The position is hybrid and you will join Dow Jones’ legal department in its New York City offices for ten weeks in the summer of 2026.
Working primarily with Dow Jones’ litigation and press attorneys, you will focus on matters affecting publication, access to information, news gathering, and domestic and international free-speech laws.
This role is a hybrid, based in our NYC office.
You Will
+ Conduct research
+ Draft memoranda
+ Help resolve the daily issues that arise in publishing The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, Barron’s, and other publications
+ Be exposed to matters involving business transactions, labor and employment law, intellectual property, and other issues
You Have
+ One or two years of law school completed (are a first or second-year law student)
+ Demonstrated interest in and commitment to media law and a free press
Salary: $25.00/hour
