    Position Summary

    Our client is seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of its Legal & Governance technology platforms. This role will be responsible for standing up and evolving systems that support corporate governance, legal compliance, and contract lifecycle management. The Product Owner will play a key role in defining future-state legal technology ecosystem.

     

    This role will partner closely with legal, compliance, and executive stakeholders to ensure platforms are secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory and operational needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for legal and governance platforms, including:

    • Board portal systems (e.g., Diligent Boards, BoardEffect, Nasdaq Directors Desk)

    • Entity management systems (e.g., Athennian, Diligent Entities, ContractZen)

    • Contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms (e.g., Ironclad, Icertis, ContractPodAi, LinkSquares)

    • Define and execute product roadmaps aligned with the client's destination architecture and compliance strategy.

    • Collaborate with legal, compliance, IT, and external vendors to ensure seamless platform integrations and user experience.

    • Establish and document new workflows, processes, and SOPs for a greenfield organization.

    • Prioritize product backlogs, write user stories, and lead agile ceremonies to drive iterative development.

    • Ensure platforms meet security, audit, and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 6 years of experience in product management or product ownership, with at least 3 years focused on legal, compliance, or governance systems.

    • Proven experience owning entire platforms or systems, not just individual features.

    • Hands-on experience with board portals, entity management, or CLM platforms is required.

    • Strong understanding of legal operations, corporate governance, and compliance workflows.

    • Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and build structure from the ground up.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $90.00/hr.
