    Description:

    You will be the Mechanical Engineer for the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services \(SOFGLSS\) team\. Our team is responsible for designing and completing modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms in support of the warfighter\.

     

    What You Will Be Doing

     

    As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and completing modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world\.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    + Designing and completing modifications on military vehicle and aircraft platforms

    + Collaborating with cross\-functional teams to ensure successful project execution

    + Conducting analysis and testing to ensure system performance and reliability

    + Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness

    + Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians

    MUST BE A U\.S\. CITIZEN \- This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    \*Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, SolidWorks or similar software\.

    \*Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation

    \*Experience creating ANSI/ASME Y14\.100 compliant drawings

     

    \*Experience with Microsoft office suite \(Word, Excel, Powerpoint\)

     

    \*Strong communication and presentation skills

    Desired Skills:

    Experience working in an aerospace

     

    environment\.

     

    Experience with Catia V5, Creo, SolidWorks or

     

    other 3D parametric modeling program\.

     

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
