Job Purpose
Responsible for applying the final detailed touches that ensure Broderson cranes meet the highest standards of quality and appearance. This includes washing, sanding, applying decals, touch-ups, detailing, and performing minor re-assembly to support production schedules and customer commitments.
Essential Functions
+ Perform detailed finishing work—including washing, touch-ups, decal application, and final detailing—on sub-assemblies and completed units, following written and verbal instructions.
+ Conduct post-paint and detail inspections to verify quality, accuracy, and completeness.
+ Prepare units for subsequent operations in accordance with company procedures.
+ Ensure all finishing work meets internal standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
+ Maintain a sharp focus on precision and consistency, paying close attention to small details that enhance the final product's appearance and durability.
+ Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with Hazardous Waste Management requirements.
+ Keep work areas clean, organized, and aligned with workplace organization standards.
+ Consistently comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures with a commitment to zero incidents or injuries.
+ Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders regarding work status and issues.
+ Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ May be required to operate forklifts.
+ May aid other departments, as needed.
+ May be required to participate in Small Group Improvement Activity Teams, daily Team Meetings and Team Exercise sessions.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires ability to learn and understand paint and detail processes and techniques; requires an eye for detail. Ability to recognize all colors in a normal spectrum; Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow; Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures; ability to accept constructive criticism; ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently; ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: High School graduate, or equivalent.
Desired: Experience performing painting and detail work in automotive or related field. 2 Year Degree in related Vocational Field of Study.
Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is a production classification and employees work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment, and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
