The **HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER - SLEEP CENTER** has an outstanding opportunity to for **POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECHNICIAN 2** . Under general supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager, the Polysomnographic Technician 2 contributes to the day to day operations of the HMC Sleep Center.

+ 6:30pm - 7:00am
+ NIGHT SHIFT
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
Located in the Patricia Steel Building at Harborview Medical Center, the UW Medicine Sleep Center provides multidisciplinary assessment, treatment and follow-up consultation services for patients with suspected or diagnosed sleep-related problems. Our medical, surgical, and therapeutic interventions cover the full spectrum of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless leg syndrome/periodic limb movement disorder and circadian rhythm abnormalities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Conducts all types of sleep studies including: MSLT, MWT, and daytime PSG, SPL and PAP studies.
+ Provides basic patient education for PAP therapy when required.
+ Home study device programing and sleep study processing.
+ Sleep Center equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance. Including, but not limited to,
+ cleaning/sterilization according to policy standards.
+ Patient home study setups and training, both individual and group.
+ Ensures adequate medical record documentation to facilitate billing, coding, and superior quality of care.
+ Scores sleep studies.
+ Assists with communicating results, scheduling and rescheduling of patients.
+ Monitoring performance of sleep testing equipment to ensure quality.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of respiratory care, electroencephalogram diagnostics or polysomnography
AND
Two years of experience conducting sleep studies in a patient care setting
AND
Certified in CPR
OR
Equivalent education/experience.

Pay Range Minimum:
$78,420.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$115,680.00 annual
