    Position Description:

    Performs semi-professional work on various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Employee performance is based upon a review of completed work and overall results obtained. May supervise specialized clerical section.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Performs semi-professional work on various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Employee performance is based upon a review of completed work and overall results obtained. May supervise specialized clerical section.

    + Acts as records custodian for all electronic records and documents submitted to the Texas State Library and Archives” and/or additional responsibilities. These may include: managing, logging, copy editing, preparing, sending, and verifying receipt of records by the State.

    + Provides circulation services and record document delivery services

    + Trains student assistants in daily operations, and assists patrons with information requests

    + Receives and records daily money transactions and opening/closing cash count for the MEB Library, when needed

    + Technician for assembling the library equipment as received

    + Deposits all required copies of print documents with the Texas State Library and Archives. This activity may include: managing, logging, copy editing, preparing, sending, and verifying receipt of records by the State

    + Works on other library projects as assigned and performs all other duties as assigned

    + Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position

    + Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution

    + Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Word processing and copy editing experience, required.

    + Supervisory and customer service experience highly preferred

    + Spanish language highly desirable

    + Good problem-solving skills

    + Experience in or interest in libraries, archives, records management, or government documents preferred

    + Museum, archives, or records management certification desirable
