    HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

    Responsible for managing the Sales and Customer Service organizations of the Thin Films business globally. Meets customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives, including developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans. Meets annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends. Requires Domestic and International travel.

    WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

    + Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow sales of PVD/evaporation tools & components in North America and/or global markets.

    + Provide hands-on leadership to the Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure operational stability and growth.

    + Identify, qualify, and pursue new customers and market segments (e.g., foundries, OEMs, research labs, universities) and develop strategies for key accounts and target markets.

    + Track market trends, competitor activity, and technology roadmaps to shape growth strategies.

    + Build strong technical and commercial relationships with key stakeholders including engineers, scientists, procurement teams, and channel partners.

    + Lead technical discussions and understand customer application needs and align them with product capabilities and value propositions; collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Service to define customer-driven features and solutions.

    + Develop and maintain revenue, cost of sale, departmental budget, and commission plans aligned with the annual operating plan.

    + Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline tracking, and performance reporting, including periodic forecast revisions (monthly and quarterly).

    + Optimize field sales performance through effective communication, leadership, sales/product training, performance evaluations, and presence in the field.

    + Deter competition through strong account management and customer support activities, ensuring a positive customer experience.

    + Work closely with R&D, Application Engineering, and Manufacturing for input on product development, forecasting, and product/volume mix for various markets.

    + Organize and participate in trade shows, industry events, and conferences to promote brand visibility and build networks.

    + Work closely with top FT management to plan future strategies and direction of business.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

    + BS/ BA degree in business or engineering.

    + Business experience of 7 to 10 years with 5+ years devoted to sales/sales management.

    + Strong selling, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

    + Travel requirement is ~50% including occasional international.

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    + Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, especially PVD/evaporation technologies.

    + Experience leading semiconductor cap-ex sales and customer service teams in a technical or industrial environment.

    + Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account and market growth plans.

    + Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

    + Familiarity with CRM systems, sales forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.

    + Ability to work across global markets and adapt to diverse customer needs.

    + Technical aptitude to support solution-based selling and collaborate with R&D.

    PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Primarily office-based with frequent virtual meetings.

    + Ability to travel ~50%, including international travel to customer sites, trade shows, and conferences.

    + Occasional exposure to manufacturing or cleanroom environments (with required PPE).

    + Ability to sit for extended periods and stand/walk during events or site visits.

    + May lift materials up to 20 lbs (e.g., marketing or demo equipment).

    The salary range included in this job posting is relevant to applicants who reside or work in the Livermore, CA area only. Salary offers will depend on experience, knowledge, skills, education, and location. Actual salary may vary due to these and other factors.
