    Baystate Health** , a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), and the region's only level 1 trauma center is looking for a **Licensed Respiratory Therapist** to join our **Pulmonary Rehab team in Springfield, MA.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    **Baystate Health, Respiratory Therapists** apply methods, techniques, skills, and behaviors required to achieve high-quality results in pediatric and adult populations with a variety of lung disease states. Maintain a complete knowledge in the principles of anatomy and physiology, gas laws, and acid-base balance, pathology of basic lung diseases, and pharmacology. Demonstrate knowledge of daily departmental operations including, but not limited to, policies and procedures, modalities, safety, and infection control specific to Pulmonary Rehab.

     

    Consistently strive for a high level of excellence in respiratory care by suggesting the most beneficial modality of therapy, appropriate diagnostic testing, and confirming proper orders for testing while maintaining patient comfort, safety, and best possible patient outcomes.

     

    Dependably act as a role model through clinical excellence, patient assessment, attendance, and peer-peer reviews.

    SCHEDULE:

    + This position is Full Time

    + Ideal candidate has flexibility Monday through Friday

    + No weekends, No holidays

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Certified Respiratory Therapist in Massachusetts required

    + Registered Respiratory Therapist, preferred

    + American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required

    + Advanced Cardiac Life Support American Heart Association Certification, preferred
