CBRE, the global leader in real estate services, is seeking a talented **Assistant Building Engineer, Building Engineer and Senior Engineer** to join our dynamic team. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility in the Santa Clara, CA area and will be responsible for the following:

+ Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive and predictive maintenance on building equipment, which may include: mechanical/HVAC-R/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.

+ Review inspection to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

+ Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.

+ Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.

+ Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

To excel in this role, you should bring:

+ **Education:** High school diploma or GED required.

+ **Experience:** Minimum of 4 years of commercial experience as a Building Engineer, Assistant/Chief Engineer, or related job.

+ **Licenses & Certifications:** Universal CFC/EPA 608 certification required

+ Chiller, CDA (clean dry air), BMS and refrigeration experience is a plus.

+ Multi-trade experience

Skills:

+ Hands-on expertise with building systems.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

+ Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and work in various physical conditions (climbing, standing, etc.).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

+ **Maintain:** HVAC/R, Chillers, CDA, Boilers, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and General Maintenance systems.

+ **Repair:** Address emergency and preventive repairs to keep facilities running smoothly.

+ **Inspect:** Ensure compliance with regulations and client expectations for environmental and operational conditions.

+ **Support:** Provide technical guidance to team members and manage repair records.
