+ GENERAL SUMMARY

+ The supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing the actions of staff involved in routine functions during a particular work shift. The supervisor typically performs specific assigned tasks and ensures the quality and quantity of work performance is consistent with policy and standard. The supervisor will be proficient in the technical and professional skills of the supervised job functions and may engage in staff job duties as part of the assigned work duties. Reports to department leadership.

+ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Assists management with performance improvement, billing, budget, equipment and design processes.

+ Provides leadership and guidance to support daily operations.

+ Coordinates and directs the actions of assigned staff.

+ Provides for patient/family education.

+ Effectively utilizes END procedures as well as operation and maintenance of equipment.

+ Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

+ LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

+ Certification/Registration as an EEG Technologist (EEG) awarded by the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) required.

+ CPR Training required or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

+ MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

+ Professional knowledge of areas of responsibility in order to assist in the planning and implementation of department activities.

+ Interpersonal skills necessary in order to assign work to subordinates.

+ Approximately two to three years progressively more responsible related work experience.

+ WORKING CONDITIONS

+ Clinical patient care environment with minimal exposure to hazards such as excess noise, dust, or extremes in temperature. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, body fluids and other conditions common to the healthcare environment. Moderate adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities.
