Description We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team in Walnut, California. This position is ideal for someone eager to work in the education industry, providing financial insights and support while ensuring accuracy in transactional processes. The role requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities to assist students and internal teams effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly student refunds, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely completion of transactions.

• Reconcile complex financial data across multiple systems, including PeopleSoft and banking platforms.

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing student inquiries related to billing, account balances, and collections.

• Manage sensitive collections-related calls with professionalism and tact, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.

• Review and audit student accounts to identify discrepancies and communicate balances owed.

• Support cashiering operations by handling cash-related transactions and preparing detailed reports.

• Utilize Excel for data analysis, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reconciliation tasks.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and maintain system integrity. Requirements • Proficiency in financial analysis and advanced Excel functions, such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

• Experience with transactional accounting in high-volume environments; familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar platforms is preferred.

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle escalated calls professionally.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

• Ability to analyze and reconcile complex datasets across multiple systems.

• Effective communication skills to interact with students and internal stakeholders.

• Knowledge of financial reporting and data analysis techniques.

• Familiarity with financial markets or tools such as Bloomberg Terminal is a plus.
