Description

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a proven track record in financial management and strategy? Robert Half is seeking a Controller to oversee the financial and accounting functions for one of our clients. As the Controller, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance to support organizational success.

+ Manage and oversee all financial operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help drive strategic goals.

+ Ensure company compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax regulations, and other regulatory requirements while preparing accurate and timely financial statements.

+ Establish, analyze, and improve internal controls and accounting processes to safeguard company assets and minimize risks.

+ Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented workplace environment while ensuring department efficiency.

+ Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term financial strategies, including cash flow management, investment analysis, and cost control measures.

+ Act as a liaison between the accounting team and other departments, providing financial insights to support operational decision-making.

+ Leverage accounting software and ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy of financial data.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is strongly preferred.

+ Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in roles of increasing responsibility. Previous experience as a Controller or similar leadership position is required.

+ Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and ERP solutions. Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.

+ Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
