    Job Description

    We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support general laboratory operations and routine tasks in a scientific research environment. The role involves working on plant transformation and tissue culture in a research dicot lab. This is a hands-on lab-based position that requires precision, efficiency, and collaboration.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform general laboratory operations and routine information handling tasks.

    + Execute tasks according to accepted methods and training provided by the work group.

    + Support plant transformation and tissue culture processes.

    + Utilize light and fluorescent microscopy techniques.

    + Apply aseptic techniques and scientific principles and theories.

    + Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

    + Troubleshoot and develop effective solutions when problems arise.

    + Maintain organized records of work, project data, and other relevant information.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.

    Work Environment

    The role is based in a laboratory setting, requiring hands-on work with plant transformation and tissue culture. The position operates during the first shift, Monday to Friday, with hours starting around 7:30-8:00 AM.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
