Primary Purpose
The purpose of this work study position will be to support the ECE /ED Team in a variety of ways. There is currently a critical need for educators in Oregon and we can use assistance as we seek to expand our ED/ ECE pathway. This requires an expansion of our communication efforts, event planning, collaboration with community partners and the growth of student supports such as CLERC . A work study student could be a great support to us in all of these areas .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ECE Program Support related to field placements:
+ Track student submissions for Education Program (Excel, Word, Google Docs)
+ Scan documents
+ Outreach to field placement supervisors
+ Follow up with students regarding field placement needs, such as time logs
+ Thank you-notes to field placement supervisors
ECE Program Support related to events/outreach
+ Help with ED Club events, recruitment, marketing
+ Coordination with Children’s Literature & Equity Resource Center materials, reading lists, and book themes for ED/ ECE classes
+ Support material organization for the Education classroom
+ Provide support for education-related activities, including high school visits, family STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) night, and the Early Learning Conference
+ Attendance at ECE advisory board meetings to share student perspective

+ Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Canvas, Canva, and Teams for basic data entry and sharing of files.
Ergonomic Requirements
Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.
Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Requirements
+ Awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2025-26.
+ Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
