_Primary Patient Population:_
+ Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area
+ Trauma/Emergency Patients
+ Stroke Patients
+ Cancer Patients
+ Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neurology, PM&R, and more.
+ Operating Room & Pain Management (Parma & Brecksville only)
+ Bone Densitometry (Parma Only)
_Primary skills utilized/learned:_
+ Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
+ IV Starts
+ Produces quality CT/XR images in a variety of settings
+ Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients
+ Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort.
+ On the spot critical thinking
+ Effective communication skills
+ Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision
+ Works well both independently and as part of the CT/XR Team
_Personnel Multi-Modality Tech will work with_ _:_
+ The CT/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.
_Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:_
+ All CT scanners are ACR Accredited
+ Early life cycle CT and X-Ray equipment at Brecksville, Cleveland Heights, and Parma
+ All CT/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRT
+ Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing CT (Computed Tomography) & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans.
+ Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.

_Required Qualifications:_
+ Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
+ Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
+ ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
+ Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)
+ American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.
_Preferred Qualifications:_
+ One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.
_Physical Qualifications:_
+ May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
+ May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.
+ May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
+ See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
+ Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
