    Summary:

    The Boiler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of a high-pressure steam boiler. This includes performing startups and shutdowns, monitoring system performance, conducting routine inspections, and performing necessary maintenance.

    Schedule:

    Employment Type: Full-Time

     

    3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

     

    Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

    Wage: $33/hrKey Responsibilities:

    Operate the boiler, including regular startups and shutdowns.

     

    Monitor and document boiler readings and performance data throughout each shift.

     

    Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.

     

    Pull water samples, conduct water quality testing, and adjust chemical levels in the water softener system.

     

    Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the boiler and related support equipment.

     

    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boiler systems.

     

    Maintain clear communication with maintenance and boiler team members to ensure smooth shift transitions.

     

    Comply with all safety, sanitation, and quality procedures and standards.

     

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Valid 2B Boiler License or higher (required)

     

    High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

     

    Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions

     

    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

     

    Basic computer skills

     

    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

     

    Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening

     

    Experience in food-grade facilities preferred, especially involving dry goods and high-speed packaging

     

    Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages)

     

    Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Solid understanding of basic math, including weights, averages, and percentages

     

    Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint experience preferred; Access knowledge is a plus

     

    Must be able to read and write in English

    Work Environment / Physical Demands:

    Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

     

    Work may be performed in a hot, humid, or noisy environment
