    **Location:** On site in Memphis, TN, Nashville, TN, Charlotte, NC, or New Orleans, LA.

    Summary:

    At First Horizon, we’re passionate about bringing the best parts of a big bank and a small bank to our clients, and we’re looking for a senior copywriter to help us tell our story. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience working with creative teams to concept and create compelling ad copy as well as an insatiable curiosity for understanding and relating to audiences through written storytelling.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop copy for the First Horizon brand across multiple channels, including print, web, digital/social, video, merchandising and email

    + Serve as a consistent source for creative ideas, conceptual thinking and a champion of our brand throughout the organization

    + Ensure messaging is in line with the company’s brand tone and voice and compliant with legal standards

    + Consult on and review work of creative partners

    + Work directly with strategic marketing partners to develop messaging that meets business objectives

    + Represent the internal creative team in meetings to discuss scope and requirements of project requests

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field

    + 3+ years in an advertising agency or brand copywriting role (agency experience preferred)

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills and strict attention to detail is imperative

    + Must be able to use good judgment and work independently in a multi-task position with solid time-management and organization skills

    + Good reasoning ability is required to solve for a wide range of business objectives

    + Demonstrated ability to develop copy/concepts in a team-based environment as well as individually

    + Experience translating business objectives and brand positioning into distinctive messaging
