    Job Title: Project Manager/Estimator Job Description

    A specialty drywall and carpentry contractor is seeking a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to oversee projects from kickoff to closeout. This role involves managing multiple projects of varying sizes and scales simultaneously. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the company's best interests are maintained throughout the project lifecycle while fostering strong customer relations.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage the contract execution process, review scope, and terms of contracts and advise on areas of concern.

    + Create budgets with input from the Estimating department.

    + Coordinate purchasing material with trade managers and the scheduling department.

    + Develop and implement project plans with the assigned project team.

    + Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.

    + Track job costs throughout the project lifecycle.

    + Review, create, and monitor project schedules.

    + Communicate effectively with general contractors and customers.

    + Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed.

    + Identify opportunities for cost savings and mitigate project risks.

    + Provide key stakeholders with job status reports.

    Work Environment

    This is an office-based position with normal hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. However, job demands may require working earlier or later to complete tasks or perform special projects. Occasional field visits and client meetings are required. Most projects are located in Southeast Michigan. The company is ESOP employee-owned and fosters a family-oriented, close-knit atmosphere. Employees gain exposure to diverse skills across drywall, painting, carpentry, and acoustic ceilings, working on both commercial and residential projects of varying sizes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington Hills, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
