• Senior Staff Accountant

    Description

    We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in the Westfield, NJ area. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting audit processes. The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic environment and bring strong analytical and organizational abilities to the table.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of account reconciliations and monthly financial statements.

    • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, addressing discrepancies as needed.

    • Support the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion of financial reporting.

    • Ensure compliance with organizational and internal accounting policies to uphold regulatory standards.

    • Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and schedules.

    • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and participate in special projects to support business needs.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

     

    • At least 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle general ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

    • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL or Sage 50 Accounting is a plus.

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
