Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to efficiently operate a Skid Steer with a specialized attachment. The role involves navigating tight spaces in solar farms to clear long weeds and grass, ensuring precision and safety.

Responsibilities

+ Operate a Skid Steer with a specialized attachment to clear long weeds and grass.

+ Work independently without a spotter between solar panels.

+ Navigate tight spaces to reach the drive shaft that powers the panels, then back out to reset for the next row.

+ Ensure safe operation of equipment to prevent damage.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy equipment in tight spaces without causing damage.

+ Experience with Skid Steer operation, particularly with specialized attachments.

+ Ability to operate safely and efficiently without supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in construction, excavation, and land clearing.

+ Solar farm experience is a plus but not required.

+ Experience in landscaping is beneficial.

Why Work Here?

Enjoy a consistent work schedule of 40 hours per week from 7am to 3:30pm. The contract work spans 6 weeks, with the benefit of weekly pay, offering stability and timely compensation.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors at a solar farm. Operators will work alone in a closed cab, ensuring focus and safety in an independent work environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Arlington, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
