Aerotek is hiring an Injection Molding Process Technician

1st shift

Responsibilities

+ Set up and process injection molding machines safely.

+ Understand and utilize molding equipment such as dryers and blenders.

+ Read and comprehend parts prints and drawings.

+ Perform changeovers on machines and routine preventative maintenance.

+ Use measuring devices like calipers and height gauges.

+ Set up and start tooling in injection machines.

+ Load the correct process and make necessary adjustments.

+ Perform general maintenance on machines including Arburg, Nisse, and Vandorn 900 ton machines.

+ Operate overhead crane comfortably.

+ Utilize hand and pneumatic tools.

+ Assist quality control in solving root cause problems.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in injection or blow molding.

+ Ability to fill out changeover check sheets and other paperwork.

+ Experience with calipers, electrical meters, pressure reading devices, and temperature gauges.

Work Environment

Dress code requires jeans or work pants, work shirts, hearing protection, and steel toe boots. Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and may encounter fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is above 85db, necessitating hearing protection on the production floor. Temperatures range from as low as 50 degrees Fahrenheit in winter to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in summer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Collierville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
