Job Title: Electrical Assembler (Nights)

Job Description

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling electrical systems and components in accordance with engineering schematics and specifications. This role involves assembling electrical components and control devices to heavy subassembly units based on electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams. The position also requires wiring circuits, outlets, and switches, and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances. You will need to operate basic tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders from day one. Work may be conducted independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble electrical components and control devices to heavy subassembly units.

+ Interpret and work from engineering schematics, drawings, and diagrams.

+ Wire circuits, outlets, and switches as per specifications.

+ Calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances.

+ Operate basic tools including drills, impacts, and grinders.

+ Utilize material handling devices and lifts such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes.

+ Fit, test, and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet specifications.

Essential Skills

+ 3-5 years of electrical assembly experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

+ Experience with operating forklifts and scissor lifts for 3-5 years.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with bending conduit and cable tray.

+ Familiarity with blueprints and schematics.

Work Environment

This role is set in a production environment with exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and other hazards. Frequent lifting and moving of objects between 10-50 pounds is required. Safety protocols must be followed at all times. The position operates on a night shift from 4:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
