    That’s where you come into play. Test drive the tools in your educational toolbox and learn some new skills along the way with an 11-week paid internship with us. Your internship with Ally will move you from educated to experienced.

     

    The Ally Internship Program guides and mentors students with development opportunities and experiences that support your career interests while also driving the business forward. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with diverse teams and functions across the company. You will interact with Ally’s leadership and learn from their personal successes. You will gain the experience to know what it means to be an Ally!

    As part of our Internship Program, you will have an opportunity to:

    * Have hands on experience and project-based work

    * Attend Orientation, Executive Speaking Series, and learning sessions as an Intern cohort

    * Participate in Mentoring Program and Giving Back Events

    * Network with your peers, your team, and those Allys you find interesting

    * Lead an end of assignment presentation

    The Details:

    * Internship Program Timing: May 26 - August 7, 2026

    * 40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days

    * Project-based work

    * Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify

    * Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.

     

    The Work Itself

    Consumer Banking

    Consumer Banking is all about the customer. As a summer intern within the Auto Customer Care organization at Ally, you will play a key role in an initiative focused on reducing inbound call volume through effective call deflection strategies. This high-impact project is designed to improve the customer experience while increasing operational efficiency across our service channels.

    Intern Key Experiences:

    * Real-world experience working on a strategic initiative with measurable business value.

    * Exposure to operations, digital strategy, and customer experience design in a leading auto finance company.

    * Opportunities to develop problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

    * Mentorship from experienced leaders in customer care and corporate strategy.

    Key Intern Skills & Competencies:

    * Analysis Mindset - Intern will gain hands-on experience in analyzing business data to support decision-making.

    * Communication - Intern will develop professional skills in stakeholder communication, business case development, and presentation to leadership.

    * Multi-tasking & Prioritization - Intern will learn how to identify, assess, and propose strategic initiatives aimed at improving digital adoption and reducing friction in the customer journey.

     

    The Skills You Bring

     

    Required qualifications.

    * Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program.

    * Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

    * Available for the full duration of the internship program.

    * Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future.

    * A passion for the financial services and technology industry is strongly preferred.

     

    Preferred qualifications.

    * Previous internship experience or relevant project work is preferred.

    * Extracurricular activities/leadership experience is preferred (student organizations, volunteering, sports, part-time roles, etc.).
