Job Details The Maintenance Mechanic I performs a wide variety of functions, which may include, but are not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry and masonry tasks; maintenance and repair of hot/cold water systems, air-conditioning, humidification equipment, refrigerators, and freezers. Requirements: High school diploma, GED or relevant experience. Successful graduation from an accredited trade school with courses in: mechanics, electricity, general maintenance, HVAC required Minimum 10 years’ experience in working in the HVAC trade Must be able to read blueprints, layout and install all types of HVAC equipment Troubleshoot technical problems working with manuals and from experiences Must have experience with centrifugal chillers, electronic building management systems Valid, clean NYS driver's license SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: EPA certification required. Healthcare experience preferred. Must be able to work on all equipment required to run the hospital including, but not limited to, refrigeration, air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, construction. Position is strenuous and requires standing on feet for long periods. Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, handle/finger tools. Must be able to lift heavy equipment when necessary or work in precarious locations. Excellent communication skills required for verbalizing clearly and effectively. Salary Range Starting from USD $40.14/Hr.
