    Salary and Benefits:

    + Hourly rate per hour based upon prior experience

    + Hours approximately 9:00am-5:30pm

    + IPERS Retirement Benefits

    + 12 month year round employee

    + Single Health and Dental provided by the District. Additional insurance options are also available to purchase

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Minimum of five (5) years of mid-range truck and/or bus mechanic experience.

    + Maintain a valid Iowa Drivers License appropriate for all district vehicles including required endorsements and restriction removals

    + Maintain a driving record satisfactory to the District and the District’s insurance carrier

    + Ability to diagnose and repair defects in the District owned automobiles, vans, busses, and grounds equipment

    + General maintenance and overhaul of District owned vehicles to include sub-assemblies and accessories, including but not limited to the following:

    + Perform emergency road service

    + Serve as substitute bus driver
