This is a full-time salaried position, located onsite at our Kansas City, MO facility.
Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.
The **Site Trade Compliance Specialist** is responsible to oversee and manage all matters related to foreign trade, import and export activities, and compliance to all government trade regulations as well as other associated PGAs. The **Site Trade Compliance Specialist**
is responsible to create, implement and manage internal policies and procedures to ensure site-wide compliance with all international trade laws, trade regulations and requirements applicable to all the site international trade actions and activities.

The Role:
+ Responsible for review of import and export documents, procedures and file maintenance, import and export declarations, advance security filing, and management of international agents and related partners such as government agencies, transportation providers and other relevant stakeholders
+ Ensure all relevant Code of Federal Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Distribution summaries are reviewed and being followed in accordance with applicable law and company policy
+ Work and engage Corporate Legal and Compliance Department on relevant issues, projects and escalations as appropriate and required
+ Identify and develop as appropriate, new revenue streams and value-added services for the Americas which Business Development, Project Management and Client Services teams where such potential arises
+ Responsible for supporting the revision and updating of Corporate/Site Trade Compliance SOPs, creation of training modules and conducting relevant training sessions at all Site/Offices
+ Offer guidance to all Catalent staff and clients on Trade Compliance, Security programs such as C-TPAT and TTP/AEO (Trusted Trader Program or Authorized Economic Operator), and country import/export requirements and regulations as allowable by law and Catalent policy
+ Review and approval of all shipments invoices where Catalent acts as IOR
+ Responsible for the creation, review and submission of all global study invoice templates, with heavy emphasis on those countries where import licenses and/or permits are required for importation
+ Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
+ Bachelor's degree with minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferred
+ High school diploma or equivalent minimum of four years of relevant experience, required
+ Working knowledge of Federal, State and International Regulatory & Supply Chain Security programs and Compliance, required
+ Four years’ hands-on experience in International Freight Forwarding, Transportation and Trade Compliance Management, preferred
+ In-depth hands-on expertise in the Harmonized Code System and Explanatory Notes & US Customer classification, preferred
+ Extensive engagement/experience with the FDA, USDA, BIS as well as IATA and the FMC, preferred
+ Proven experience in identifying, re-engineering and implementing Global Trade and Transportation compliance procedures and processes, preferred
+ Three years’ experience working/managing 3PLs, wholesalers, warehouse operations, freight consolidators, international couriers/carries, preferred
+ Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
