The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a seasonal Catering team member to join us at The Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, New York. We are looking for a team of outgoing, guest-oriented Bussers and Runners to contribute to the success of events such as luncheons, weddings, proms, business meetings, and various other functions.

Pay

$14.91 - $14.91 / hour

What will you do?

+ Sets patron tables and buffet areas for service.

+ Accommodates all guests and addresses inquiries.

+ Replenishes buffet food, refills beverages, and removes dirty dishes from tables.

+ Assists in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

More about you

+ Customer service oriented with a positive attitude, an openness and willingness to learn, and a desire to be held accountable and contribute to a team.

+ Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask, work quickly and efficiently with grace in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

+ Very organized with a strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to communicate effectively.

+ Possess basic knowledge of standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names.

+ Available for part-time, on-call events that include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical requirements

+ Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

+ Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.

+ Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 lbs.

+ Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare bills.
