Salary: $3407 / Week

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager – Acute Psych (Evening Shift)

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Start Date: September 22

Shift: 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM | 5x8s | Monday–Friday

Travel Weekly Pay: $3,407

+ Hourly (Taxable): $1,930

+ Stipends: $1,477

About the Role:

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to support operations in an Acute Psychiatric Unit at a respected facility in Visalia, CA . Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, this role helps ensure efficient, patient-centered care that meets the holistic needs of patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist in managing daily operations of the acute psych unit

+ Support staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow coordination

+ Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff

+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care

+ Provide leadership during evening shifts and respond to urgent needs

Requirements:

+ Active California RN License – Required

+ BLS Certification – Required

+ CPI Certification – Required (can be completed on-site)

+ 3+ years of Acute Psych nursing experience – Required

+ 1+ year of Nurse Leadership or Management experience – Required
