Sportsman Boats is looking for a Quality Control Associate  for lamination who will implement quality control measures to ensure that high quality standards are achieved on a consistent basis. This position strives to improve quality and manufacturing processes on a daily basis. This position will conduct inspections, audits and many other daily projects as needed tapping parts, checking air voids, and documenting quality concerns in AIMSCO.

What you will do:

+ Promotes and execute quality standards, inspection processes, instruction, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports

+ Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production Managers, Supervisors and Team Leads as to corrective measures

+ Works closely with department Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads to ensure good quality product and workmanship standards are being met before boats are completed.

+ Performs real-time quality assurance checks during production processes

+ Participates in improving the work environment through 5S standards

+ Reports data back to originating departments

To be considered you must have:

+ Minimum 2 years of work experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment

+ Confidence in decision making; willing to push back on production staff when quality or workmanship standards are not being met

+ Strong execution capability, time-management skills, and multi-tasking; ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production needs

+ Ability to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment

+ Additional duties as assigned

Preferred Education and Experience

+ Demonstrated success in improving quality and efficiency

+ Strong personality, flexible with change

+ Demonstrate ability to deal with adversity

+ Bilingual Spanish/English strongly desirable

+ Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards
