SITE LOGISTICS SPECIALIST – SAXONBURG, PA

PURPOSE

The Site Logistics Specialist is an expert in a specific area of logistics, providing specialized support to business operations and projects. This role involves both active participation in logistics activities and offering consulting expertise to enhance operational efficiency. The Logistics Specialist will focus on their area of expertise, ensuring that logistics functions are executed effectively within their domain.

The Site Logistics Specialist can be flexibly deployed to the following work tasks / deployments (not limited to):

• Provide specialized knowledge and support in a specific logistics area;

• Collaborate with project teams to implement logistics solutions and improvements;

• Conduct training sessions and workshops to share expertise with team members;

• Analyze logistics processes within the area of expertise and recommend enhancements;

• Serve as a consultant to address complex logistics challenges;

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in the area of specialization.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Deep Subject Matter Expertise: Possesses extensive knowledge in a specific logistics domain (e.g., transportation, warehousing, inventory management) and stays current with industry developments;

+ Analytical Skills: Capable of analyzing logistics data and processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements;

+ Consultative Approach: Able to provide expert advice and consultative support to teams and stakeholders, facilitating problem-solving and decision-making;

+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex logistics concepts to diverse audiences;

+ Training and Development: Skilled in designing and delivering training programs to enhance the capabilities of team members and stakeholders in the specialized area;

+ Project Management: Experience in project management with logistics planning and execution, ensuring that project timelines and objectives are met;

+ Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills that foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ High school diploma or GED;

+ 2+ years of experience in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments;

+ Manufacturing and supply chain experience;

+ Project management experience;

+ Process improvement experience;

+ Logistics and material handling experience;

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

+ Demonstrated problem solving abilities;

+ Strong MS Office application knowledge;

+ Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills;

+ Ability to treat internal customers with respect;

+ Keep commitments;

+ Inspire the trust of others;

+ Work with integrity and ethics;

+ Uphold organizational DSO values.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Associate’s degree.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $55,046.00 to $82,569.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
