    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Rehabilitation Aide is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations, ordering and maintenance of departmental supplies, routine equipment cleaning, patient/equipment preparation and treatment as appropriate to level of training and NH professional practice act. Responsible for performing assigned clerical, administrative and patient care duties. The Rehabilitation Therapy Aide assists with orientation and training of volunteers.

    Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

    + Assists with the preparation of treatment of patients as directed by the PT, OT, ST.

    + Monitors the patient’s tolerance during the assigned patient care activities.

    + Ensures appropriate set up of miscellaneous equipment for therapist use in patient treatment.

    + Supervises patient routine exercise, ambulation and ADL programs as directed by therapists.

    + Wipes down all modality equipment and carts.

    + Cleans equipment as appropriate.

    + Keeps supplies, linens and forms stocked.

    + Monitors/documents temperatures daily for machines/appliances.

    + Monitors supplies/equipment delivered by courier and notifies appropriate personnel for further instruction.

    + Maintains therapy files and makes copies as needed.

    What qualifications you will need:
