Title: Sr. Procurement Specialist
**Location:** North Chicago, IL (100% Onsite)
**Duration:** 3 Months
**Pay Range :** $39/hr to $43/hr (On W2)
We are looking for a “ **Sr. Procurement Specialist”** to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.
Responsibilities:
+ Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels.
+ Full understanding of the "One Procurement" strategies. Strong knowledge and project work across multiple categories that impact the team positively.
+ Works within defined processes and procedures and may help determine appropriate approaches for change.
+ Enable supplier integration and KPI's. Drive value and lead savings outcomes. Collaboration with functions. Develops bids and proposal formats.
+ Lead complex RFPs as well as lead small projects. Provides advice/direction in primary areas of expertise.
+ Communicate and educate appropriate departments to provide appropriate supporting documentation for purchases.
+ Develop and leads agreed purchasing strategies for category. Seek, develop and establish business relationships with diverse suppliers.
Key Success Factors:
+ Strong influence, project management, change management, budget review, financial analysis, and negotiating skills.
+ Excellent people skills and problem-solving abilities.
+ Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
+ Strong contracting skills, including reviewing and redlining contracts.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Business, Financial or equivalent experience.
+ CPM certification desired.
+ Minimum of 2+ years in procurement, requiring strong contracting expertise, ideally with a background in marketing procurement.
