    _The Secure Space Construction Standards QC Specialist is responsible for the ongoing coordination and review of architectural, structural, fire protection, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and_** **_communications_** **_systems_** **_to_** **_assure_** **_construction associated with secure space areas meets required standards._

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    T** **he Secure Space Construction Standards QC Specialist is responsible for the ongoing coordination and review of architectural, structural, fire protection, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and** **communications** **systems** **to** **assure** **construction associated with secure space areas meets required standards.

     

    The Secure Space Construction** **Standards** **QC** **Specialist shall** **also** **coordinate** **with** **Government representatives who must periodically review the construction and ultimately must certify the** **Secure Spaces. The Secure Space Construction Standards QC Specialist shall have no other duties or** **responsibilities outside of** **the role of SAPF Construction Standards Specialist.

     

    The** **Secure** **Space** **Construction Standards** **QC** **Specialist shall also be** **present during Government** **inspections of** **SAPF spaces and activities related to certification process, up** **to final successful** **certification.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + TheSecureSpaceConstruction Standards QC Specialist shallhaveexperience havingmanagedconstruction ofatleast one accredited secure space under ICS 705-1 PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL SECURITY STANDARDS FOR SENSITIVE. COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION FACILITIES.

    + AEC Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent related field experience with International Code Counsel, NICET, etc. Current certification required

    + USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required

    + Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required to review and certify that the test, inspection, and procedures satisfy requirements

    + Limited travel for projects as necessary

    + Level 1 QCM

    + Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years preferred in a Quality role

    + Good communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time

    + Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications of job related duties
