    Job Title: Operator Assistant

     

    Job Type: Contract to Hire

    Job Description:

    Support production by maintaining material supplies, loading/unloading trucks, and transporting formed metal throughout the plant using a forklift.

    Responsibilities:

    + Stock production lines and manage shipping/receiving

    + Operate sit-down forklift to move materials within the plant

    + Load finished goods into warehouse and onto trucks

    + Deliver materials to work cells and remove bundles

    + Assist with setup, loading/unloading parts from production line

    + Use hand tools and pack finished goods

    + Perform inventory control and documentation using computer systems

    + Process shipping/receiving paperwork

    Required Skills:

    + Sit-down forklift operation

    + Industrial/manufacturing experience

    + Shipping and receiving knowledge

    + Inventory control and documentation skills

    + Accurate paperwork processing

    Additional Qualifications:

    + Material handling and machinery loading/unloading experience

    + Familiarity with RF scanners, data entry, bills of lading, cycle counts

    Work Environment:

    + Industrial manufacturing setting

    + Temperature varies (hot in summer, cold in winter)

    + Relaxed management style focused on performance

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
