Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Syracuse, New York, on a long-term contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to manage essential accounting functions while collaborating with diverse clients and contributing to their financial success. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations on a monthly basis.

• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate reporting.

• Collaborate with client finance teams to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.

• Assist with budget preparation and provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with company standards and client-specific policies.

• Adapt to various work environments, ranging from small businesses to large corporate settings.

• Provide expertise in using accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.

• Monitor financial transactions and maintain organized records for auditing purposes. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, with exposure to multiple industries preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and payroll procedures.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to adapt to onsite work requirements based on client needs.

• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute in varying environments.
