Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare and review tax returns with accuracy and timeliness and confidently communicate with clients to gather needed information.

Responsibilities include:

+ Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns, primarily Forms 1120S and 1120, with some 1065s

+ Collaborate directly with small business owners, whose business activity typically flows into their individual returns

+ Analyze current and prior year returns to identify discrepancies or missing information

+ Communicate with clients via phone or meetings to clarify issues and collect necessary documentation

+ Independently research tax issues and escalate more complex cases as needed

+ Collaborate with other teams across the organization as needed

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA or EA designated preferred.

+ 5+ years of recent tax preparation and review experience

+ Strong working knowledge of small business and individual tax returns

+ Ability to work independently, spot errors or missing elements, and communicate effectively with clients

+ Solid judgment and willingness to dig into more complex returns when needed
