A Snapshot of Your Day
As Global Logistics Network & Warehouse Manager you are
responsible for and will lead the implementation of Siemens Energy’s Warehouse
& Logistics strategies, ensuring alignment between business requirements
and SE’s strategy. As a member of a distributed team, you ensure sourcing,
tendering, and purchasing incl. contract agreement initiatives are successfully
implemented. Analyze SE’s transport- and material flow network and Warehouse
footprint to derive an optimized network design. Contributes to significant
reduction of logistics spent worldwide. Collaborate with business to define and
implement HUB concepts and ensure preferred Logistics Service provider (LSP)
utilization together with additional corporate cost out initiatives.
This will have a significant impact on the financial
results of SE and help optimize organizational processes!
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Create transparency on warehousefootprint and material flow; thereby analyze, identify and deriveoptimization initiatives in line with SE Global logistics & warehousestrategy. This contributes to a reduction in logistics spent worldwide incollaboration with businesses.
+ Implement SE Global logistics& warehouse strategy in alignment with internal and externalcollaborators.
+ Leading frequent coordinationwith Business, involving senior management from fulfillment across bordersand internal BA log partner teams to discuss performance trends andcentral initiatives.
+ Establish an interface and buildstrong and sustainable connections between the operating units in theBusiness Areas for North and South America Establish and maintain a goodbusiness relation with the operating units in the Business Areas tounderstand their business needs (requirements) and support them incooperation with procurement & strategy.
+ Requirements gathering with thecollaboration of operating units; definition of clear and detailedspecification documentation to allow proper RFI / RFP documents. Activelycontribute to establish governance documentation and process Descriptions.
+ Establish a center of competencefor Warehouse topics in North America + LATAM. Identify supply chainrisks, opportunities, and market forces to avoid potential damage /exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk and changemanagement.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in businessadministration, logistics, or equivalent experience is preferred. 8+ yearsof expertise in industry within logistics, supply chain or strategicprocurement for services (transport, warehouse).
+ Expertise in contract negotiationas well as deep understanding of service contracts. Ability to cooperate,especially to work cross-functional and cross-disciplinary in a globalwork environment. Legal background and experience are desirable.
+ Ability to gather, reduce andorganize data from multiple sources in multiple formats, and organizeeffectively from various data sources and databases systems.
+ Ability to communicate across alllevels of organization and cultural Environments!
+ Beneficial to have experience ininternational customs clearance requirements and processes as well as taxrequirements, different modes of transportation, warehouse operations.Travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
+ Fluent in English written andspoken (native speaker) and good Spanish skills preferred.
