System One is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer – Aiken, SC

Position: Senior Quality Engineer (1436)

Duration: 1 year contract, with 2 option periods (2080 ST / 800 OT hours estimated)

Schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:15 PM, 100% onsite.

Local candidates or those willing to relocate at their own expense.

Education & Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5–7 years practical experience in construction inspection or related areas.

+ Associate’s degree with 7–9 years, or HS diploma with 10–14 years, will also be considered.

+ Certification with continuing technical training required.

Top Skills & Experience Required:

+ Civil/structural field inspection experience (soils, concrete, reinforcing steel, structural steel, protective coatings).

+ Ability to develop, review, and implement inspection plans per codes and standards.

+ Competence in issuing non-conformance reports and coordinating corrective actions.

+ Recent (within last 12 months) civil/structural field experience.

+ Strong organizational and communication skills.

+ Experience under NQA-1 quality assurance programs at DOE facilities.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

+ Civil Certification Level II or III.

+ ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector or similar certifications.

+ Knowledge of AC308 adhesive anchor requirements and ESR reports.

+ Familiarity with fresh concrete property test methods.

+ Additional certifications (AWS CWI, ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector, ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector).

+ Strong knowledge of ACI 318 and ACI 349.
