• Telecommunications OSP Construction Helper

    TEKsystems (White Marsh, MD)


    Role Overview

     

    As a Telecommunications Construction Helper, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing 5G space while supporting outside plant (OSP) construction crews. You’ll work closely with team leads to ensure timely and efficient project completion across various client sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist with trenching, PVC pipe installation, cable and conduit runs

    + Handle and transport equipment and inventory

    + Mount and hang telecommunications hardware

    + Support lead technicians in daily field operations

    + Travel to job sites from the Perry Hall yard with crew

     

    We welcome candidates who are new to the industry but bring a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.

    Top Skills Details

    + 1+ years of experience in OSP telecommunications construction (preferred)

    + Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical aptitude

    + Dependability and a strong work ethic

    Additional Qualifications

    + Excellent listening and communication skills

    + Punctuality and ability to work in a team of four (Foreman, Operator, 2 Laborers)

    + Quick learner with initiative and retention skills

    + DOT clearance required

    Work Environment

    + Outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions

    + If weather prevents site work, duties may shift to shop-based tasks or result in time off

    + Daily travel to cell sites with team; meet at Perry Hall yard each morning

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
