Summary

This job is responsible for assisting forklift drivers and warehouse staff with shipping product, along with maintaining and cleaning the warehouse and docks.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assist forklift drivers in the shipping process by pulling tote tickets and recording inventory of shipments

+ Maintain and cleans the docks and warehouse areas free of debris

+ Responsible for cleaning the warehouse floors with floor scrubber, clean and maintain outside of the warehouse building, and assist with snow removal as needed.

+ Assist the forklift drivers and warehouse staff with projects

+ Assist with labeling/stickering loads

+ Stacking and unstacking pallets in preparation for shipments

+ Performs other duties as assigned

Typical Education

Preferred High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

+ Preferred experience in a cold storage warehouse environment

+ Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment

+ Preferred knowledge of computer systems

+ Experience operating a forklift preferred

Required Certifications

+ Must obtain and maintain annual Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification for entry into low oxygen freezer environment, which involves wearing a tight-fitting mask.

+ Must obtain and maintain a Forklift Certification

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

- Ability to write correspondences and to effectively communicate information in one-on-one settings and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in a professional manner.
