Job Summary and Qualifications
The Inpatient Rehab PAI/PPS Coordinator functions under the Rehab Program Director to provide coordination for the timely and accurate completion of the Patient Assessment Instrument for each rehabilitation inpatient.
What you will do in this role:
• You will provide clinical support in completion of data contained in the PAI for each patient to ensure accuracy in the scoring of functional status and reflection of the patient’s care needs.
• You will assist in ongoing monitoring of identified benchmarks for the inpatient population.
• Thoroughly research clinical documentation for evidence of co-morbid conditions and verify accuracy of coding under direction of attending Rehab physician.
• Responsible for staff education to improve FIM score accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to make the most accurate assessment of the needs and strengths of patients.
• Verify appropriate CMG designation through chart review, staff interview and collaboration with Rehab Medical Director
• Periodically audit PAI, clinical documentation and billing information to ensure accuracy and consistency of documentation and work closely and collaboratively with all members of the clinical team to ensure compliance at all levels.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Graduate of an accredited school in clinical specialty
+ (RN) Registered Nurse, (OT) Occupational Therapist, (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist, or (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist
+ Current state licensure
+ Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience
