    Business Analyst - Division of Data Services & Analytics

     

    Hybrid Schedule: 50% Remote 50% Onsite

    Summary:

    The **Business Analyst** will work within the Division of Data Services & Analytics (DDSA) Data Sharing team to triage, organize, and facilitate requests for healthcare data in the Medicaid Data Sponsorship process. The ideal candidate will utilize their experience and skill set to review and assign incoming data requests, coordinate with data privacy and legal stakeholders to implement appropriate data sharing agreements, and act as a data sharing liaison to policymakers within the NYS Department of Health’s Medicaid program. Comprehensive on-the-job training and peer/supervisory support will be provided. The candidate should be able to take on new tasks and subject areas, willing to work in a team environment, and able to adjust to multiple priorities successfully.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree, preferred

    + Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and time-management skills

    + Strong ability to research and document standards and guidance from existing documentation.

    + Interpret existing standards and guidelines to produce data quality recommendations.

    + Translate technical specifications and communicate in clear manner to broad audience.

    + Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to move data quality projects forward.

    + Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word. Experience with PowerPoint and Visio preferred.

    Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
