    Position Description:

    CGI Federal has an opening for a Project Management Office Specialist to provide program control, financial analysis, and business operations support to our proprietary federal software solutions – Atlas360, Momentum, and Sunflower at our Lebanon, VA Center of Excellence. Qualified candidates will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and operational/financial accounting concepts. Candidates in this role will work collaboratively with both Project Management and Corporate Operations teams and will be responsible for program control functions and internal customer deliverables to include budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and variance analysis.

     

    This position is located in our Lebanon, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    The position will support an array of activities which includes, but is not limited to:

    • Develop and perform various financial analyses, ad-hoc reporting, and cost estimation duties for the Project Managers.

    • Working closely with Project Managers in monthly forecasting and analyze variances to previous forecast and budget.

    • Performing detailed reporting and analyses of monthly financial information to include trend analysis as well as proactively monitor large expenditures and swings in margin from month to month.

    • Assists the Solution Development Management team with other analysis items including staffing metrics.

    • Provide thought leadership on potential solution, long-term strategy, and continual process improvement.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship or permanent residency is required.

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in accounting, business, economics, finance, or management information systems)

    • 2-4 years of related experience with emphasis in financial reporting, planning, and analysis

    • Must be well versed in MS tools (Word, PowerPoint etc.) and possess Excel skills including working knowledge of advanced formulas such as XLOOKUPS, nesting formulas, and pivot tables.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)

    • Strong team relationship skills: Comfortable speaking with senior management members, drawing conclusions and conveying professionally and concisely. Proactively identify and communicate schedules, risks, dependencies, etc.

    Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including expertise in Power Pivot, Data Model, Power Query for data transformation and connection management, and implementation of workbook and worksheet protection features.

    • Experience working with Visual Basic for Applications is a plus.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $41,500.00 - $94,200.00.
