GATES TRAINING SPECIALIST Job Description Summary:
+ Team D&G a proven prime company at Scott AFB are seeking an exceptional Training Specialist in support of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) Surface/Water Program. GATES serves as a single port management system providing cargo planning, in- transit visibility, vessel manifesting, customs clearance, cargo documentation, and sends payment data to SDDC G8 for cargo billing.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Provides a broad range of training support in all aspects of the GATES mission, to include virtual, computer-based and in-person.
+ Develops course material and instruct the GATES hand-held terminal course to include device set-up and configuration, cargo processing and data transfer.
+ Create training agendas, and applicable training materials to include, but not limited to handouts for in-person, virtual and computer-based training
+ Complete After-Action Report (AAR) after completion of event
+ Prepare classroom and audio-visual equipment for training sessions
+ Support military exercises, to include MRS, EDRE, JRE, SEDRE and training/fielding exercises
+ Transport, set-up and maintain GATES training equipment
+ Support and provide input to scenarios and simulate cargo port operations
+ Complete AAR after completion of event
+ Responsible for ensuring all GATES equipment is functional, updated, and maintained
+ Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
+ Other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution OR
+ Bachelor’s degree (any field) + One of the certifications: Security+, Security/X, CCNP Security, CISA, FITSP-O, GICSP, SSCP
+ 7 years of technical experience operating GATES handheld terminals
+ 5 years’ experience supporting training and exercises
+ and its relevance to network and systems troubleshooting
+ Certified training instructor
+ Knowledge of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model protocol
+ Valid Passport

+ Experience with USTRANSCOM
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
