    Job Description

    In the bakery department, the batch mixer is primarily responsible for operating mixing machines, filling machines, and baggers. The role requires collaboration within teams of 3-4 to ensure smooth operations across various machines, including mixers, fillers, and grinding machines. The batch mixer plays a crucial role in the production of doughy products by managing the entire process from raw material mixing to final packaging.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and monitor mixing machines, fillers, and baggers.

    + Switch between operating a mixer, filler, and grinding machine.

    + Scoop cauliflower into a grinding machine to produce fine material for dough production.

    + Change and monitor speed, temperature, smart scale weights, and vibration for bagger operations.

    + Read and interpret batch tickets to make dough.

    + Weigh ingredients and add specific amounts of raw materials and starches to each batch.

    + Operate a tumbler to mix materials with specific starches, flour, and egg.

    + Monitor the process as the batch moves through the mixer, filler, cutting machine, oven, and blast freezer.

    + Set up and monitor equipment on the line, including mixing machines, fillers, ovens, pressers, baggers, and cartoners.

    + Ensure visual and quality inspections are conducted.

    + Perform tasks such as changing out rolls, wiping down machinery, making adjustments, and clearing jams.

    + Maintain GMP standards throughout the production process.

    Qualifications

    + 1-3 years of experience in mixing, blending, or compounding in the food industry.

    + Experience working in food manufacturing

    + GMP experience.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.95/hr.
